Hello! This outfit has been inspired by the wonderful works of Simon Porte Jacquemus and his geometric embossed shapes which have cultivated my own personal style in exciting ways. I adore his signature nautical based colour scheme that successfully stays within the realms of high fashion and not The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. This top from Topshop mimics his bold cuts perfectly, especially when paired with my go-to pinstripe navy trousers from Urban Outfitters which I have worn to death (they also featured in my last post), and together they create a strong and tailored yet minimalist look. Mules have been everywhere lately and though they're not the most practical of shoes, they are extremely effective in making you look like you have a clue about what you're doing with your style and with minimum effort required. But more importantly, their buttercup blue colour has shown to be the most important colour this year and I absolutely looooove it. All in all, I think this look succeeds in being feminine with the bandeau cut of the top yet tailored with the block trousers, a perfect combination in my humble opinion.
